Ive got the same problem here :))
Only difference, on my machine it freezes at the cgx4 logo, just after loading
fastiprefs or adddatatypes.
But not always, it boots fine most of the time, but sometimes it just stalls
:)
I know its odd, a computer should always do things exactly the same, but it
doesnt :)
I think it has something to do with datatypes/fastiprefs on your config, try
renaming the datatype dir and run Iprefs instead of fastIprefs, to see if it
helps.
As for me, Ive got several entries of 'C:LED SWAP' in my startup-sequence, so
I can
SEE where it goes wrong :) (just count the led blinks)
